Timeline
We worked in our family groups to sort out a timeline for WWII. The timeline will now be displayed in class and there for our reference throughout the project.
Tatties
Primary sevens helped to dig up the St Andrews tatties on Friday. The cooks have been presented with a big box ready to cook for lunch!

P7 Logo Design Winner
Megan's logo has been chosen to be the P7 logo for 2014-2015. We had many creative and exciting designs but this one was voted as the favourite. Well done Megan, it shows many aspects of life in P7 and represents us well.
World War II Families
We have four 'families' in P7 at the moment - The Appleby, Dawson, White and Reynold families. We each play a character in our family and are learning about the events of WWII through their eyes. Here is a picture the White family have created of themselves. They are a farming family and dread the possibilities that they believe WW2 might bring.
In class we listened to the radio announcement from Neville Chamberlain telling us that we were at war with Germany. This was not good news and there was a distinct feeling of dread.

Challenger Bus
We had a very interesting session on the 'Challenger 4' bus about a Scottish lady who was called
Jane Haining. We learned a bit about the treatment of the Jews in WWII and how Jane had died in a concentration camp a heroine, selfless to the end.

World War II Leaders
We have been learning about the reasons for World War II starting and about the leaders who were in power at the time. In class volunteers represented the leaders.
The allied powers.
The 'Axis' powers.
